Weekending

Weekending - -

This has been a fantastic weekend.  Friday and Saturday were in the 80s and I took full advantage of it.  This was a rest/dropdown week to recover from the marathon.  Friday was supposed to be a rest day, but with the weather I just couldn't.  Mooky and I went out to Texas Motor Speedway and did 10 miles (after he fixed my flat tire - that he caused)!  Then went for a few beers and food.

Saturday I woke up to breakfast and then went out to meet Lauren for an grueling 8 mile run along the Trinity River.  My legs were so tired, but it was still great to be out and about.  In the afternoon Mark and I did some major shopping/browsing.  We found a picture for above the mantel and got the new globes for the livingroom fan (the first ones he bought were too big, but those will eventually be pendulum lights above the open part of the counter).  Also looked at patio furniture and spent time wandering around World Market.  Later this month it will be 2 years I have owned the house, about time I'm getting to these things.  Evening consisted of Jen and I going out to Hat Tricks for some Johnny Cooper (Texas Country)!  Love having that bar 1 mile from the house.  Great shows.

Sunday  the cold weather returned!  So I stayed on the couch.  Mark's brother gave us his old Wii and some games, but no games that I knew how to play :(.  We we got old school original mario and Mario 3!  I spent some time playing that.  Weather was dreary so it was it was a perfect rest day!

March

So February is over, and was pretty much a wash, so time to start over in March.

February: 109 miles
~Run: 83 miles
~Bike: 16 miles
~Elliptical: 9 miles

I dropped from the Ultra to the full marathon, there was no point in torturing myself for no reason.  Plus I got to spend the majority of the last 8 miles with Nicole.

We were in Springfield, IL with James for his first half marathon, and Fort Worth, TX for his first full.  Pretty cool!

The plus side to February is the weather is starting to be PERFECT more often than not.  Getting back into everything: running, biking, gym.  Was able to drop 2 more pounds this month and am around the lightest I have been in the past 2 years.  Now it is time to get stronger!  More biking, more lifting and volleyball will be starting.

March Goals:

~Mile: 120 total.  Want to bike more and keep training for Big Sur.  Time to hit the hills.
**Really that is about all I have for March Goals:

Goals before I hit 30:

~Automatic sprinkler system
~King bed and new Queen mattress for the spare room
~Picture for above mantel
~Patio furniture

Time to start getting things done around the house...
