I started the year off by finally getting a new phone. That is a huge step for me. My old one was several years old and the topic of many, many jokes! After that I used my Sports Authority gift card from my boss to get a workout bag. The old workout gear was my high school soccer bag and over 12 years old. It also had holes that my shoes could fall out of, so yeah time to say goodbye.
Last Wednesday at our Run On Group Run, they did a drawing for prizes. I won a $100 gift card. Woo hoo!!! And on Friday I decided to break down and buy new shoes that I have had my eyes on for months!!! They are super pretty. The shoes arrived yesterday so I wore them out for the first time at our group run tonight. I also used my gift card. $170 retail value, with sales going on - it rang up to $111. They scanned my voucher and some how my total was $0. Okie dokie, I'll take it.
I am finally moving up in the world and getting new things. Now I have to keep working out, I got a bunch of new gear! The shoes felt pretty good on the run tonight.
