August/September

August Recap –

I would classify August as a successful month of running!

Total Running Miles: 111 (Tied with January for the most running miles in one month for 2014).

There was a lot of run/walking, but I am OK with that.  The first 4 weeks of marathon training were all about getting back at it.  I was slightly out of shape and it was August in Texas, so I wasn’t expecting much.  I was successful at: getting a lot of miles on my legs, dropping the weight I had put on stress eating, and am finally back in a routine.  I have found that I enjoy the Wednesday night Run On Group Runs and that I should be able to maintain a strength training schedule with this marathon training cycle (Tuesday & Thursday).


September Goals:

Miles: 125
Strength workouts: 8

September is going to be all about quality miles and building up to a 40 mile week.  Hopefully the weather will start to cool off a bit!
